As we move further into 2026, I see leadership not as a title, but as a responsibility. To me, real leadership means pulling others up—especially those who are willing to learn—showing them the ropes, and equipping them to grow, improve, and eventually lead themselves.
I have always believed that giving someone a quick solution may help in the moment, but teaching them how to navigate the process builds confidence and sustainability. That philosophy mirrors the heart of AAERT’s mission. Through education, certification, and advocacy, AAERT does more than respond to change—we prepare professionals to thrive within it.
This profession is evolving, and with that evolution comes both opportunity and responsibility. As new technology and workflows emerge, our commitment to professionalism, accuracy, and ethical standards must remain unwavering. AAERT’s focus on education and best practices ensures that members are not left guessing, but are empowered with knowledge and clarity.
My faith also shapes how I view leadership. I believe we are called to serve, to steward knowledge wisely, and to help others rise when they are willing to put in the work. When we lead with integrity, humility, and purpose, we create space for growth that benefits not just individuals, but the profession as a whole.
What excites me most about 2026 is the continued momentum—members supporting members, leaders developing leaders, and a shared commitment to excellence. AAERT’s progress is not measured only by innovation, but by the strength and confidence of the professionals it supports.
As we look ahead, my hope is that members feel encouraged, equipped, and valued. When we lift others as we lead, we build something lasting—together.
