State Courts Information

On this site, https://www.ncsc.org/sco, the National Center for State Courts, Court Statistics Project for State Court Organizations (SCO) presents detailed comparative information about how state trial and appellate courts are organized and administered.  It is the only source for authoritative answers to fundamental questions about the operations of each state’s court system. The data was obtained through a volunteer survey to court administration.

To learn which types of court reporting methodologies are used in the court systems that responded to the SCO survey, click on the Trial Record icon and view the Verbatim Record column.

Please note, that digital reporting is used in all states for federal cases.  Government agency contracts may also state and allow for digital reporting for specific purposes.
