Margaret "Margy" Lowry began her career in 2002 after a decade working with members of the Oklahoma Bar. She launched her own freelance business focused on legal transcription and gradually expanded her work to include law enforcement transcription, clinic notes, railroad disciplinary hearings, and focus groups.

A strong advocate for professional certification, Margy holds all three AAERT credentials—CER, CET, and CDR—as well as the TCRA Digital Scopist Certification. In 2022, she completed The Court Reporting Academy and added Digital Court Reporter certification to her accomplishments.

Margy now works for an international firm specializing in Defense Base Act claims and serves on AAERT’s CET Grading Committee. As a board member, she is committed to promoting the value of certification and helping members demonstrate professionalism and excellence in the field.
